Shortly into my journey into migrating my SmartThings platform to Home Assistant, I had a follow-up conversation about using ESP32 devices as custom sensors. I’m like, “Tell me more about these devices??!!” Oh – was I in for a surprise? What started with a simple LED light project soon turned into air quality sensors and full-fledge into e-ink displays. What was a three-pack of ESP32 devices from Amazon quickly accelerated into twenty-two devices spread out over my house!
